ALBUMS
LEKIDDO
Many Are Called...
"A debut of electro pop from Lekiddo. This album is a
toe-tapping, hip shaking and delightful little album with the potential
of really taking off in a big way.
Slightly eccentric and odd but highly entertaining, Lekiddo pinches
from the carnival and Calypso music scene but adds a pinch of other
influences such as Scissor Sisters and even The Streets in the song
'Cafe' plus many a dance act. Like a long-lost relative of Faithless
really.
Indeed, some people won't like this offering as Lekiddo's off-beat
blend is a little 'try hard weird'. However, his website is worth an
explore and provides a bemused giggle This versatile album could do
the trick for some pre-clubbing sounds or equally for that lazy
Sunday morning.
Lekiddo obviously loves life and his off-the-wall style provides an
album of carnival grooves in a modern dance music setting. What really
stands out about Lekiddo is the fact that this dude truly is an independent
artist- he wrote the tunes, sang them, produced and directed the videos
and the website, so this album really is his little baby. Join the partaaaay!
PS. Spread the word- let there be lobsters, (check out the website
and all becomes clear.) " (read
